The first burlesque show I was ever in asked me for a second act the week of the show, so I cobbled this together to one of my favorite Scottish tunes
lyrics
I am a plumber, and Italian plumber
I loved a Princess and Peach was her name
But she would not ride my "100 point flag pole"
So a Mushroom I must obtain
Mushroom, Mushroom, oh Super Mushroom
Mushroom, Mushroom that makes you grow!
How I want a Super Mushroom
So I'll have something to show
I piped down to the Mushroom Kingdom
A Super Mushroom I chanced to smell
I punch a block and I ate that Mushroom
And my... pride began to swell
Mushroom, Mushroom, oh Super Mushroom
Mushroom, Mushroom that makes you grow!
How I want a Super Mushroom
So I'll have something to show
I fought my way through death and danger
I fought my way to Bowser's abode
But the Princess was in another castle
So I had to settle for single-player mode
Mushroom, Mushroom, oh Super Mushroom
Mushroom, Mushroom that makes you grow!
How I want a Super Mushroom
So I'll have something to show

This is my favorite album so far. I don't think I've ever felt as seen as when listening to "Mermaids and Queers." "Slytherins and Misunderstood" finally convinced my mom to embrace her Slytherin identity! loquita08

It's a bawdy album for a modern age of woman (& man, & neither/both!). It hearkens to the Baltimore Consorts albums of Bawdy Song, which are nearly lost in the age of streaming, but the Misbehavin' Maidens use language a 21st century lass can understand easily! cecilia-sings-poorly
